Japan added 10 more members to its task force on talks on tariffs with the U.S. on Monday, gathering representatives from transportation agriculture and other ministries to evaluate potential bargaining chips, and to facilitate rapid decision-making across agencies.

The employees joined at the Cabinet Secretary’s Office for the Comprehensive Response Headquarters for U.S. tariff Measures full-time. The group, headed by the Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Fumitoshi Sato, includes 37 members who have responsibilities in the agencies they work for.
